Rite of Passage Program

The program is limited to 6-10 girls each year. Please register soon to secure your spot!

Dates overview

The program runs from May-August and consists of 3 phases: 1. Preparation, 2. Ceremony, and 3. Integration.  For Preparation, we meet bi-weekly on the weekend through May and June, and then our big Ceremony Weekend happens in July.  Two follow-up dates happen for Integration, one in July and one in August afterwhich we will decide as a group on additional, more casual follow-up.

Developing a relationship with a mentor

This is a special and important part of the program.  Participants will meet and choose their mentors at our first gathering on May 12th.  From then until the end of August, mentors and participants will connect once a week for 1.5-2hours. In September and October, mentor-mentee pairs meet at least once biweekly. If any pair desires to continue their connection after the program ends, they may do so independently of the program.

Note: after the final gathering on Aug. 25th, we will assess the needs of the group and decide if and how frequent we may meet thereafter (eg. once a month optional gathering/potluck)

4 months of programming + 6 months of ongoing mentorship: $1,500  $1100.

Due to a generous donor, we are able to offer this reduced price for all participants, and significant bursaries are available for low-income families (contact us for details). Please be assured that we are looking for additional funding. We are a not-for-profit group and whatever funding we receive between now and the end of August will be refunded to families.  Please forward our Donations Page to friends and family to make this happen!

A deposit of $300 is required with registration; payment plans are available.

Includes all costs associated with programming, insurance, and the ceremonial weekend (food, accommodation, transportation)…all in an intimate group of 6-10 girls. Additional personal costs may be incurred while connecting with your mentor (ie tea or other activities), which is optional.

We do not want cost to be a barrier to participation.  If everything about this program is a YES! and cost is your only hesitation, please contact us.  We’d be happy to discuss how to make it work.
